Please share with anyone you know who can help pressure Brazil not to relax their forest code Murder of Amazon Activists Raises Questions of Brazilian Justice

This is the state of things. Shortly before I went to the Amazon to work on climate change mitigation projects for the first time back in 2008 or so, a researcher was murdered under similar suspicious conditions. Then about the time I went to work in south eastern Peru, a couple of graduated student researchers were arrested by the Bolivian police, and the rumors around the case led me to believe they were being falsely accused of drug possesion because they were working on climate change research which would have negatively impacted the logging interests in the region, as well as all the corrupt local officials who got kick-backs from thriving illegal activity.
